Nativity preparations 2017

Nativity preparations for our 2017 performance ‘A King is Born’ is in full swing! We have been busy rehearsing, making costumes and creating this beautiful back drop with the help from Mrs Randle. The children worked really hard designing and creating the hay bales, camels and the donkey! They even decided on the very careful placement of the baubles! Well done to Sheep and Whales class!

Discovery Cafe 2017

Today we held a Discovery Cafe for children and parents of North Elmham School alongside North Elmham Playgroup. We listened to the story The Giant of Jum and then explored lots of activities. It was well supported and thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Football skills workshop

Pawel, the FA Skills Coach has been in every Wednesday and taught all classes a variety of football skills. The children have learnt a lot and have enjoyed the experience. Here are a few pictures of Sheep Class participating in the workshops!

Pumpkin Soup

Today we shared the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’. We were so excited about cooking with pumpkins we decided to make our own. We shared ideas of other vegetables to include and decided on carrots, onions and potatoes. We each added each of the ingredients to the slow cooker and took turns to stir it throughout the day. We then used a mixer to blend it together and tasted our very own pumpkin soup!

The Little Red Hen Baking

After reading the story of The Little Red Hen we decided we wanted to help her make the bread rolls because the other animals would not help. We learnt about which ingredients we would need and new words like ‘kneading’. We carefully weighed, measured and mixed the ingredients together. We left them to prove and then baked them in the afternoon.
