Learning all about Harvest

Sheep class have been busy learning all about harvest! We learnt about harvesting wheat, explored what it looked like and ways we use the flour. We decided to design and make our own pizzas – they were delicious!

Celebration Assembly

We have celebrated some fantastic achievements this week. Excellent behaviour and listening during an after-school club, brilliant writing in class and creating beautiful projects at home!

Well done everyone, another fantastic week!

Our little authors!

In July, Reception children entered a ‘My First Story Young Writers’ competition for 4-7 year olds.

I am delighted to share that out of over 4,000 entries our children’s stories have been selected to be published in the Norfolk & Suffolk edition of the book!

We will receive a copy of the book and it will take pride of place in our lovely new library!

Check out the EDP on Monday where we will feature!

Science with Oreos

How about this…

While learning about the phases of the moon, we used Oreos to simulate the apparent shapes of the moon. The children did very well not to eat them.

Dove class transition

The year 2s spent a couple of days in Dove class with their new classmates and we investigated the topic of endangered species. Children worked in teams to produce PowerPoints and collages of their animal, and then we voted on which animal we will sponsor with the WWF. The winner was the polar bear!

Potato salad anyone?

After chitting, planting and caring for our potatoes in our outdoor area we noticed that our potatoes were ready to harvest. Today, we boiled our potatoes, chopped them and other ingredients to make our own potato salad! #responsiveplanning #highlevelsofengagement

Drawing with Scissors

We have been learning about Henri Matisse and his concept of Drawing with Scissors. We used his artwork of a snail to inspire our own mini-beast artwork.
