Sheep and Whales class enjoyed a trip to Norwich Cathedral to learn all about Easter. We enjoyed helping to act out the Easter story in different parts of the Cathedral. It was fascinating to see how many different types of crosses we could spot and discovered that some crosses are covered up and only uncovered on Easter Sunday. We made some wonderful crosses of our own and lit candles to remember the people who are special to us.
We have been busy learning about The Easter Story. We worked together to make our own Palm Crosses and Easter Gardens!
We came in from playtime and found some footprints! We weren’t sure what they were at first or where they came from. We worked out it could not have been a grown up because of the gap between each print and there were only three sharp pointy bits! We decided to put objects around it so visitors knew not to touch them! After further investigation, we worked out it must’ve been the Great Dirty Dinosaur from the book we had been reading!
Doves had a go at making their own volcanic eruptions today, as part of our geography focus this term. We learnt about lava flows and pyroclastic flows, and made the classroom stink of vinegar as a result!
